Software
EES was founded with the combination of mechanical engineering and software development in mind. This is not a very common combination that sets EES apart from the competition. With a foundation of over 20 years in software programming EES can handle all of your programming needs.

We often program in house proprietary applications that make our jobs easier and more efficient (i.e. EHGG ). Likewise EES can program custom applications for our customers. This can automate repetitive tasks that usually require a person to oversee. One example is the checking of spectrophotometer scans and compiling and labelling the data. This is often done manually and is a very time consuming task involving loading each scan, checking points, and labeling them. We have seen this done on a production part that required 7 scans all at different angles and polarizations and each scan needed checked at 6 points. These parts ran 3 times a week and each run required this process, often taking several hours per run. With an automated application you could select a folder and the program would run through all scans in that folder, check values, compile graphs and label the data points, all in under a minute each time. This is just one example of the benefits of automating a repetitive task and the time that could be saved.
EES is proud to announce the launch of a proprietary job tracking software that allows our customers to track the status of all of their jobs as well as change priority on the fly. The job tracking system is called the EES Task Management System (TMS). It is a web based system that can be accessed from any computer that has an internet connection. The TMS will show all orders that a company has placed with EES as well as the current status and priority level of each one. These statuses of each job include things like acknowledged, material ordered, machining, packaging, and pending approval. Within each job a user can add notes and attach files such as PDFs or solid models. There are different user access levels that can be assigned to people in a company that all have different levels of what they can see and do in the EES TMS. An executive level can add new orders and make modifications but a standard user level can only view that status of orders. The TMS also allows the priority of jobs to be changed on the fly and an ideal delivery date to be added. EES understands from experience that the optics industry is fast paced and sometimes things come up (substrates can be under polished, another test shot may be required, unforeseen maintenance can come up) and these can be very hard to accommodate. Our software allows a task priority to be edited so that a task can be bumped to the top of the list and we can do our best to hit your new “ideal delivery date”. This means EES may have to switch gears from time to time on short notice, but in exchange it makes sure we are delivering to our customers what they really need in the time frame that helps them the most. This will help them accommodate their customers and the whole cycle just runs smoother.
The EES TMS is also available as a standalone package that can be purchased and configured to a customer’s needs so they can use it in house and allow their customers to see the status of jobs that they currently have.
Please don’t hesitate to let EES know any programming needs you may have and let us automate some of your production work today.
