Databases
Data is something that all companies will use/produce in one way or another. Dissemination of such data to others can be done via documents, designs, spreadsheets, reports, etc. These are examples of products that many companies provide to their customers. Data is not only provided to others, but it is very useful and, most times, necessary to use in-house. It can be used as input for algorithms, front-end applications, in-house documents/spreadsheets and reference materials/applications. All of this is something that a database will improve upon. Creating a central location of data will allow anyone to access it by various means. Once a database has been setup, a lot of duplication of work will be cut out.
EES comes into companies and works with the staff using the current toolsets/methods of producing products/assets. EES helps them define better ways of organizing similar data into a central repository that can be shared across their company. Not only that, EES will normalize the database into appropriate tables in a way that allows similarly grouped objects to be placed into separate tables. Optimizing the databases to allow a multitude of people to work on the database at one time is almost always a must. This is especially true when the database is accessed across the internet where millions of people could possibly be accessing it at once. EES will normalize and optimize each database to the level that is necessary for the use of that database.
There are several different types of databases that EES can develop with. Oracle, SQL Server and Access are just a few. The type of database that a company would need for their requirements would be determined by the scale, amount of users, the amount of data, what it would be used for and cost. Those factors, among others, would be looked at by EES's Software Engineering Division to determine the best database solution for the company contracting with us.
EES respects the wishes of our customers not to divulge information about things we have done for them to others. Most of the databases that EES has developed for our customers are proprietary in nature and, therefore, cannot be shown. However, we do have some databases that we have developed for customers and/or ourselves that could be talked about and shown during the meeting of new customers.
