Metrology Instruments
EES can design and manufacture the instruments required for inspection and metrology of optics. This includes alignment jigs, inspection platforms, spectrophotometer fixtures, and laser mounts. We have experience with optical monitor system (OMS) fixtures used in the path through the coating chamber, the OMS light generation and light processing.
One option that can save time is to design and manufacture drop in bread boards for the spectrophotometer sample compartment. This can be a platform that remains together and is completely removed and replaced when the matching part needs to be scanned. You can save a lot of time when you don’t have to tear down the entire optical setup each time: polarizers and filters can remain aligned and parts holders can stay in place. Just drop the fixture in to scan and pull it back out when finished.
We are happy to design components that work with your existing setups such as rotation stages, optical tables, spectrophotometers, and laser measurement systems. We can come to your facility and gather requirements and design you a solution. We can even help with the installation and calibration. If desired we can precision assemble and align components before delivery. This means that your assemblies can be within 0.001” (or better) out of the box. This makes for a fast install and saves time in calibration.
